Take a boat trip from Vordingborg and experience the city from a new angle. Combine your boat trip with a visit to the Goose Tower and the historic castle ruins.
Before summer: May 1 – May 17, 2026
After summer: 6 September - 30 September 2026
Join us on a unique sailing trip from Vordingborg Harbour, where you experience three bridges, each of which tells a story about their time – and about man's ability to connect parts of the country through courage, innovation and engineering.
On the trip we sail past:
The old Storstrøm Bridge from 1937, a technological masterpiece of its time, which has connected Zealand and Falster for generations – but which is soon facing demolition.
The temporary railway bridge, which has secured the connection until the new bridge was ready.
The new Storstrøm Bridge, now fully constructed, Denmark's third largest bridge at almost 4 km. With a double-track electrified railway, a two-lane road and a pedestrian and bicycle path, it is a modern symbol of Danish engineering and future connections to Europe.
Experiencing the three bridges from the sea is like taking a journey through the development of time. You see the solid steel structures of the past, the transitional solutions of today and the landmarks of the future side by side – a living testament to human ingenuity and the will to build bridges both literally and symbolically.
From the deck you also get a view of Masnedø and the elegant Faroe Islands on the horizon, completing the story of Denmark's proud tradition of bridge building.
The boat trip lasts approximately 2 hours and provides a very special insight into both history, the present and the future – before the old Storstrøm Bridge disappears from the landscape forever.

Are you planning a excursion to South Zealand, Vordingborg is an obvious choice. The city offers plenty of culture and history – with The Goose Tower and the impressive castle ruins as some of the area's biggest attractions. Here you can explore Denmark's medieval history before continuing the experience at sea.
From Vordingborg Harbour you can join us on an atmospheric boat trip to Storstrøm Bridge and experience both past and future engineering from the front row. The combination of historical sights on land and a relaxing boat trip provides a full day of experiences that unite culture, nature and unique views.
A trip to Vordingborg is therefore more than just a visit to a cozy market town – it is an opportunity to combine sightseeing, history and boat trip in the heart of South Zealand.
